¿Qué hacemos esta noche?—Avancemos 1, Unit 4: Lesson 2
-Unit Outline: In this unit you will learn Spanish vocabulary related to restaurants, places (such as the movie theater), traveling vocabulary, such as (by foot), and new verbs (poner, poder, servir). We will also be discussing two new grammar lessons: stem-changing verbs, o->ue and stem-changing verbs, e->i. We will have quizzes on each lesson, and a unit test. You will be participating in group discussions, taking notes, watching videos, and completing a restaurant project. By the end of this unit, you will be able to order in a restaurant, know how to get around a Spanish-speaking country, and you will become more knowledgeable of present-tense Spanish verb conjugations. I will always respond to questions you may have, and I will have an online meeting forum every Thursday night from 7 until 8:30.
-Objectives: First objective: I can discuss vocabulary related to restaurants, places, and transportation in Spanish.
Second Objective: I can conjugate o-ue stem-changing verbs.
Third Objective: I can conjugate e-i stem-changing verbs.
-Target Audience: This unit is created for Spanish Two students who are in the eighth grade. This could also be a great online tool for people who would like to increase their Spanish vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
Timeline for the 4.2 Unit:
- Module 1 (Vocabulary, and ir and ver conjugations): 2 Weeks
- Module 2 (O-ue stem-changing verbs): 1 Week
- Module 3 (E-i stem-changing verbs): 1 Week
- Restaurant Project: 2 Weeks
- Review and Test-1 Week
